The City of Gloucester Personnel Office is responsible for employee recruitment, job classification, maintaining records, benefits, administration of all Workers Compensation or Section 111F claims and fostering a climate for positive labor/management relations. This department also maintains and develops a variety of employee support programs to improve efficiency and the cost-effective management of City services. Although the City currently has a hiring freeze in place (Mayor's approval required before filling any position vacancy), occasionally job opportunities are available.
